Tweaking Projections Again – Aroldis Chapman to Close

The Reds announced today that Aroldis Chapman will remain at closer, rather than join the starting rotation.
So I’ve updated the RotoValue projections with his new role, now giving the Reds’ saves to him instead of Jonathan Broxton. So Broxton’s value plummets, while Chapman’s becomes more reliably solid. While he already projected to be a rather valuable starter by most systems I had, he likely has less risk of injury or underperformance in the bullpen. Chapman’s value might not rise all that much, but Broxton’s surely takes a hit, so take notice for those drafting this weekend!
Also, Adam Eaton is now likely to miss 6-8 weeks, so the young Diamondbacks’ prospect should fall back some.
