The Reds announced<\/a>\u00a0today that Aroldis Chapman<\/a>\u00a0will remain at closer, rather than join the starting rotation.
\nSo I’ve updated the RotoValue projections with his new role, now giving the Reds’ saves<\/a>\u00a0to him instead of Jonathan Broxton<\/a>. So Broxton’s value plummets, while Chapman’s becomes more reliably solid. While he already projected to be a rather valuable starter by most systems I had, he likely has less risk of injury or underperformance in the bullpen. Chapman’s value might not rise all that much, but Broxton’s surely takes a hit, so take notice for those drafting this weekend!
