Sat Aug 2 | 06:54 | Braden Montgomery Hits First Career Double-A Long Ball |
Chicago White Sox outfield prospect Braden Montgomery went 2-for-4 with a long ball during his contest against Double-A Rocket City on Friday evening. This was only his third game at the Double-A level, but he wasted little time to his first career home run. During his first three games with Double-A Birmingham, Montgomery went 2-for-13 with a stolen base and a 9:1 K:BB. Earlier in the season, the former 12th overall pick in last year's MLB Draft spent 69 games with High-A. During this stint, Montgomery posted a solid .260/.348/.445 slash line with 17 doubles, eight home runs, five stolen bases, and a 70:32 K:BB. Fantasy managers should expect Montgomery to spend the remainder of the second half at Double-A. He is in play to reach the majors later next season. |

Sun Jul 27 | 18:32 | Braden Montgomery Promoted to Double-A |
Chicago White Sox outfielder Braden Montgomery was promoted to Double-A Birmingham on Sunday. This didn't take long as Montgomery earned a promotion from Single-A in less than one season of pro ball. Montgomery slashed .269/.358/.455 with 11 home runs, 57 RBI, and 11 stolen bases in 87 games in Single-A this season. Montgomery was a first-round pick of the Boston Red Sox from 2024. He was traded to the White Sox in that deal that sent Garrett Crochet to Boston. The 22-year-old won't be ready for the MLB this season, but a promotion to The Show in 2026 shouldn't be out of the question. |

Thu Jul 10 | 06:19 | Braden Montgomery Snaps Skid with Home Run |
Chicago White Sox outfield prospect Braden Montgomery went 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI during their contest against High-A Greenville on Wednesday evening. This was a nice breakout game for Montgomery, as he was in a slump throughout most of the past week. From June 27 through July 6, Montgomery went just 2-for-31 at the dish with one extra-base hit. However, he has now tallied at least one hit in each of his last two games and appears to be turning the corner. Montgomery joined the White Sox organization with the 12th overall pick in last year's MLB Draft. After spending just 18 games with Low-A at the start of the season, the White Sox promoted Montgomery to High-A. Through his first 50 games with High-A, Montgomery has been quite productive, posting a .251/.331/.439 slash line with 14 doubles and eight home runs. If he continues to find his footing, he could be in the mix to open the 2026 season with Double-A. |

Thu Jun 26 | 15:04 | Braden Montgomery with Another Multi-Hit Game at High-A |
Chicago White Sox outfield prospect Braden Montgomery went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base on Wednesday for High-A Winston-Salem. It's his third multi-hit effort in his last four contests, and he is 20-for-57 (.351) over his last 21 games, including two doubles, two triples, and three home runs. For the season, the 2024 first-rounder is slashing .280/.359/.480 with 10 home runs and nine steals between Single-A and High-A. While his walk rate at High-A has dropped more than two percentage points, it is still above average at 9.4 percent, and his strikeout rate has improved almost two percentage points, sitting at a slightly better than average 20.7 percent. With other 2024 first-rounders getting moved along quickly, some even in the big leagues already, it wouldn't be surprising to see Montgomery progress to Double-A before long. The 22-year-old has the likes of aging veterans Mike Tauchman and Michael A. Taylor in front of him at the big league level, so a 2026 debut is possible, especially with the 60-grade power and some strikeout concerns presumably behind him. |

Mon Jun 9 | 15:11 | Braden Montgomery has a Productive Weekend at High-A |
Chicago White Sox outfield prospect Braden Montgomery got back on track over the weekend, going 6-for-9 with a pair of doubles, three RBI, and three runs scored in two games for High-A Winston-Salem. The performance ended a 3-for-41 (.073) skid that the switch-hitter was on. After initiallyshowing well in his first taste of High-A pitching, hitting six doubles and four home runs in his first 14 games at that level, the 2024 first-rounder subsequently cooled off and has yet to hit another home run, with the last one coming on May 14. Still, producing a better-than-average 20.9 percent strikeout rate with an 11.1 percent walk rate is an encouraging sign for Chicago's fourth-ranked prospect. So long as he continues to hit, he should be in the mix for a look at Double-A later this season, though it may be 2027 when we finally see him in the big leagues on aregular basis. |

Thu May 15 | 15:17 | Braden Montgomery Cruising At High-A After Promotion |
Chicago White Sox outfield prospect Braden Montgomery needed just 18 games at Single-A earlier this season before earning a promotion to High-A at the end of April. Instead of withering in the face of stiffer competition, it has been quite the opposite. After recording a .304/.393/.493 slash line with three home runs, a 22.6 percent K%, and an 11.9 percent BB% in 18 games at Single-A, the 2024 first-rounder is slashing .388/.466/.755 with four home runs, a 19.0 percent K%, and a 12.1 percent BB% in 14 games at High-A. Chicago's fourth-ranked prospect's projected power appears to be coming through, but without the anticipated strikeout issues. Dynasty managers will want to see how the rest of the year plays out, but at this rate, he could make a case for another promotion to Double-A later in the campaign. With seven steals thus far, the switch-hitter could be an eventual multi-category producer for fantasy. |

Wed May 7 | 11:40 | Braden Montgomery Hits Two Long Balls On Tuesday |
Chicago White Sox outfield prospect Braden Montgomery went 2-for-4 with two home runs during their contest on Tuesday against High-A Bowling Green. The 22-year-old opened the campaign at Low-A but needed just 18 games to get the call to High-A. During his first seven games at High-A, the No. 5-ranked prospect in the White Sox system has posted an impressive .360/.467/.760 slash line with four doubles and a 7:4 K:BB. Earlier in the summer, Montgomery made his professional debut with Low-A Kannapolis and held a .304/.393/.493 slash line with three long balls. The White Sox drafted Montgomery with the 12th overall pick in last year's MLB Draft. Given his steady progression, Montgomery could be in the mix to reach Double-A in the second half of the campaign. |

This was Montgomery's second round-tripper of the young campaign and third double. This was his third-straight game tallying at least two hits and fourth-straight contest tallying at least one hit. This outing also extended his RBI streak to an impressive four games. Through his first nine games of professional baseball with Low-A Kannapolis, Montgomery has posted a strong .353/.415/.618 slash line with 13 RBI.
