Sat Aug 207:15Jhostynxon Garcia Continues Strong Run at Triple-A
Boston Red Sox outfield prospect Jhostynxon Garcia went 3-for-6 with two doubles and a home run across a doubleheader against Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Friday. This was another dominant showing from the No. 99-ranked prospect in the sport on MLB.com. Over his last 16 contests, Garcia has been one of the most dominant hitters at the Triple-A level, posting a .333/.380/.576 slash line with four doubles and four home runs. During this stretch, he has tallied 16 RBI and crossed home plate 14 times. After starting the campaign at Double-A Portland, Garcia only needed 33 games to prove he was ready to join the top ranks of the minor leagues. Through his first 52 games at Worcester, Garcia has held a .298/.365/.556 line. He is worth monitoring as he could be promoted later in the season if the Red Sox remain in the Wild Card race.

Wed Jul 2306:51Jhostynxon Garcia Launches Two Long Balls on Tuesday
Boston Red Sox outfield prospect Jhostynxon Garcia went 3-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI during their contest against Triple-A Saint Paul on Tuesday evening. Over his last eight contests, the No. 3-ranked prospect in the Boston system has only gone hitless once and held a stellar .387/.472/.581 slash line with a 6:4 K:BB. After starting the campaign with Double-A Portland, Garcia has looked quite comfortable since earning the bump to Triple-A Worcester. Through his first 44 games with the Worcester Red Sox, Garcia has posted an elite .300/.379/.553 slash line with six doubles,11 home runs, and a 48:21 K:BB. Given his rather quick progression in the upper minor leagues, the 22-year-old could push for a late-season MLB debut.

Mon Jun 2307:16Jhostynxon Garcia Dominant in First Taste of Triple-A
Boston Red Sox outfield prospect Jhostynxon Garcia has been very productive during his first taste of Triple-A action. Garcia earned the call to Triple-A earlier this season. Through his first 27 games with Triple-A Worcester, Garcia has posted an impressive .311/.388/.604 slash line with five doubles, eight home runs, and a 29:14 K:BB. On Sunday, Garcia launched two of those home runs and brought in five RBI. Earlier in the campaign, the No. 5-ranked prospect in the system held a .256.355/.393 line with five doubles and three home runs across a 33-game stint with Double-A Portland. Given his rather quick adjustment to the top level of them in the minor leagues, Garcia could earn a late-season promotion to the major leagues. However, given that the Boston outfield is quite crowded, he may have to wait until the 2026 season.

Mon May 1923:18Jhostynxon Garcia Getting Promoted to Triple-A
Boston Red Sox outfield prospect Jhostynxon Garcia is getting promoted to Triple-A Worcester. Boston's fifth-ranked prospect wasn't exactly knocking the cover off the ball at Double-A, hitting .256 with a .393 SLG (including three home runs) and four stolen bases, but had shown a good eye at the plate with a 13.0 percent walk rate that helped translate to a strong .355 OBP. He's coming off a 23-home run, 17-steal campaign across three levels of the minors last year in 107 games. Given his ability to hit for power and to provide some stolen base potential, the Venezuelan is a prospect to keep an eye on for fantasy managers in deep leagues in the event he can make a case for a late-season call-up.

Fri Feb 711:34Jhostynxon Garcia Likely To Start In Double-A
The Athletic's Jen McCaffrey writes that Boston Red Sox outfield prospect Jhostynxon Garcia isn't expected to make his major-league debut until 2026 and will likely start the 2025 season back at Double-A Portland. Per The Athletic's Keith Law, Garcia was ranked as the team's No. 8 prospect last year, and he was added to the 40-man roster this offseason to protect him from the Rule 5 draft. The 21-year-old led all Red Sox minor-leaguers in 2024 with 23 home runs while also posting a .286 batting average, 17 steals and an .892 OPS at Low-A, High-A and Double-A. Another strong season from the Venezuelan outfielder this year will surely push him up MLB's prospect rankings. In 30 games for Portland last year, Garcia slashed .263/.320/.386 with two home runs and 10 RBI over 126 plate appearances.
