Sat Apr 510:58Jose Ramirez Leads Guards To Win With Three Homers
Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez reminded everyone on Friday night in the Los Angeles Angels' home opener why he finished just one homer and one steal short of just the second-ever 40-40-40 season in 2024. In Cleveland's 8-6 win at Angel Stadium, Ramirez went 3-for-4 with three home runs, four RBI, three runs scored, a walk and a strikeout to raise his early-season average to .381 and his OPS to an absurd 1.488. It was the seven-time All-Star's 26th multi-homer performance but just the second time in his career he's homered thrice in one contest. The 32-year-old Dominican switch-hitter might not be very big (5-foot-8, 190 pounds), but he packs a punch and is one of the best all-around players in baseball. He heads into the second game of the series in Anaheim on Sunday with four homers, two doubles, six RBI and four runs scored in his first six games of the 2025 season.

Fri Apr 412:26Jose Ramirez Motivated To Get Even Better
Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez finished last year with 39 home runs, 39 doubles and 41 stolen bases in 158 games, leaving him just shy of the elusive 40-40-40 club, which only Alfonso Soriano in 2006 was able to pull off. Ramirez said he worked even hard this past offseason to try and reach that unique goal. The 32-year-old Dominican is already a six-time All-Star and five-time Silver Slugger award winner. He said he's the same weight now as he was at the end of the 2024 season -- he's listed at 5-foot-9, 200 pounds -- but he was strict with his intake and increased his muscle mass while trimming body fat over the winter. J-Ram has been as dependable, durable and productive as any hitter in recent seasons, and he's played 681 of a possible 708 games from 2020-24. He's gotten off to a strong start in 2025, too, hitting .294 (5-for-17) with a homer, two doubles and two RBI in five games.

Tue Apr 100:45Jose Ramirez Collects Three Hits, Homers In Monday Return To Lineup
Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez (wrist) looked perfectly fine at the plate in Monday's 7-2 loss to the Padres. Ramirez, who left Saturday's game with a wrist injury from an attempted stolen base, went 3-for-4 with a single, a double, a solo home run, and a strikeout. The 32-year-old got the Guardians on the board early, jumping on a first-inning Kyle Hart fastball and launching it into the left-field seats for his first long ball of the season. The performance was great from a fantasy production perspective, but more importantly, it showed that Ramirez is healthy and ready to go. Ramirez has been a consensus top fantasy pick for seasons and is a five-category contributor. It will be interesting to see how aggressive he is on the base paths early on after injuring his wrist while attempting to steal a base, but fantasy managers will gladly take any production while he is in their lineups.

Mon Mar 3121:10Jose Ramirez Back In Lineup For Cleveland On Monday
Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez (wrist) is back in the Guardians' lineup for Monday night's matchup against the San Diego Padres. Ramirez left Saturday's game with a wrist injury from stealing a base but has avoided serious injury and is ready to go. The 32-year-old will look to get his first hit of the year against Padres starter Kyle Hart, who has a 15.55 ERA in 11 IP. Fantasy managers and DFS managers alike should do all they can to get Ramirez in their lineup.

Sun Mar 3014:22Tests Return Negative For Jose Ramirez, Could Play On Monday
The imaging on Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez (wrist) all returned negative. Tim Stebbins of MLB.com reported that the 32-year-old could be available to pinch-hit on Sunday and "hopefully" return to the starting nine on Monday. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status, but it appears Ramirez avoided a significant injury. The third baseman was pulled from Saturday's contest after suffering a right wrist sprain when attempting to steal a base. Gabriel Arias shifted over to the hot corner on Sunday and will likely see most of the opportunities at that position if Ramirez were to miss more time. Fantasy managers should expect the Guardians to exercise caution with their superstar infielder, which could result in him being held out of the lineup occasionally. When healthy, he should be viewed as a must-start option in all formats.

Sun Mar 3012:07Jose Ramirez Out Of Sunday's Lineup, Considered Day-To-Day
Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez (wrist) is absent from the series finale on Sunday against the division-rival Kansas City Royals at Kauffman Stadium after he suffered a sprained right wrist on a stolen-base attempt in the third inning of Saturday's game. The good news is that manager Stephen Vogt said Ramirez is just day-to-day, so perhaps there's a chance he'll be ready to play in Monday's series opener against the hosting San Diego Padres at Petco Park after sitting out on Sunday. "He's doing alright. It's a mild sprain...he's day to day...we all know what that means with Josey...gonna see how he feels in the morning...think I'm going to have to hold him down to keep him out of there," Vogt said. With J-Ram out, Gabriel Arias is at third and batting seventh, while Daniel Schneemann gets the start at second and will bat eighth against Royals veteran right-hander Michael Wacha.

Sat Mar 2918:18Jose Ramirez Exits Early On Saturday
Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez (wrist) was pulled out early during Saturday's game against the Kansas City Royals. Ramirez appears to have suffered a right wrist sprain during his stolen base attempt earlier in the game. He remained in the game for a bit afterwards, but looked sluggish during his at-bat in the sixth inning. Gabriel Arias has taken over at third base and could see more time at the hot corner if Ramirez is forced to miss time. The expectation is that Guardians will give more information on his status following Saturday's game.

Fri Mar 1415:28Guardians Could Move Jose Ramirez To Two-Hole
According to Cleveland Guardians manager Stephen Vogt, the team is considering moving third baseman Jose Ramirez to the No. 2 spot in the lineup this year. Ramirez was the team's three-hole hitter 152 times last year, and he appeared in the two-hole just six times. Vogt's reasoning behind the potential change is that it will get the 32-year-old up to the plate more often over the course of the entire season and also give him more RBI opportunities. Nothing is set in stone just yet, and a move up just one spot in the lineup wouldn't drastically impact his fantasy value in 2025. Options to hit behind Ramirez in the third spot would include young first baseman Kyle Manzardo, veteran Carlos Santana and outfielder Lane Thomas. Ramirez, a six-time All-Star and five-time Silver Slugger winner, is one of the best all-around players in baseball and is ranked at RotoBaller as the No. 5 overall fantasy player.

Wed Oct 16 202400:32Jose Ramirez Homers, Swipes Bag In Game 2
Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez went 1-for-4 with a walk, a stolen base, and a solo home run in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to the Yankees. The homer was his first hit of the ALCS, going 1-for-8 so far and just 4-for-24 (.167) this postseason. The 6x All-Star had a phenomenal regular season, finishing one home run shy of a 40/40 campaign, and if the Guardians are hoping to get back into this series then Ramirez will need to pick up the pace at the plate, starting Thursday in Game 3 back home. The switch-hitter will face Clarke Schmidt to start the game, who Ramirez is 4-for-9 off of in his career, including a double and just one strikeout.

Mon Sep 30 202412:41Jose Ramirez Falls Just Shy Of 40-40-40 Season
With the Cleveland Guardians final game of the 2024 regular season being rained out on Sunday against the Houston Astros, third baseman Jose Ramirez was robbed of a chance at a 40-40-40 season. Ramirez entered Sunday's game with 39 doubles, 39 homers and 41 stolen bases. In addition to those impressive totals, J-Ram hit .279 with an .872 OPS and 118 RBI while striking out only 82 times in 158 games played. Only one player has had 40 doubles, 40 homers and 40 steals in a single season -- Alfonso Soriano in 2006. If Ramirez had homered on Sunday, he would have been only the seventh player to hit 40 homers and steal 40 bases in a single season, joining Shohei Ohtani, Ronald Acuna Jr., Soriano, Alex Rodriguez, Barry Bonds and Jose Canseco. Ramirez is still the second player ever to have a 39-39-40 season. Ramirez doesn't get the headlines, but he's an elite ballplayer.

Thu Sep 26 202411:08Jose Ramirez Hits 38th Home Run, Collects Three RBI
Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez fell a single shy of the cycle in a 3-for-4 night at the plate, collecting a double, a triple, and a home run in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Reds. The home run was his 38th of the season, while the switch-hitter collected three RBI and scored twice in the contest as well. The 6x All-Star has been one of the top fantasy performers this season due to his strong output in every offensive category, accumulating a .279-38-115-113-40 line. The 32-year-old shows no signs of showing down and will surely be responsible for sending many fantasy managers home with a championship this year.

Sat Sep 21 202410:16Jose Ramirez Hits Home Run No. 36, Steals 40th Base
Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez went 3-for-4 with a home run, two RBI, a run scored, and a stolen base in Friday's 5-1 win over the Cardinals. It was the 40th steal of the season for the 32-year-old, but with just seven games to go, it looks like he'll fall just shy of a 40/40 season. That's not to say it hasn't been a great year for the 6x All-Star, it has, as he's amassed a .274-36-109-108-40 line, making him one of the most coveted multi-category-producing fantasy assets in 2024.

Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez went 1-for-4 in Game 2 of Wednesday's doubleheader loss to the Diamondbacks with a score of 5-3. Ramirez's lone hit was his 30th home run of the season, a solo shot off of starter Eduardo Rodriguez in the sixth inning that brought the Guardians to within one, but they ultimately would not be able to complete the comeback. The 31-year-old has been on base via hit or walk in 18 consecutive games now and has six home runs in his last nine games. For the season, the switch-hitter owns a .282-30-96-85-25 line, making him one of the most valuable multi-category producers in fantasy.

Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez showed why he's one of the elite fantasy producers when he went 3-for-4 with two runs scored, two steals, and an RBI in Monday's 7-6 loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks. Ramirez is hitting .282/.334/.545 and is fourth with 94 RBI. He is tied for fifth with 29 homers and 11th with 24 stolen bases. He has recorded four straight seasons of at least 20 homers and 20 steals, and is on pace to record his second 30-homer, 30-steal season, his first coming in 2018. There's nothing to say other than Ramirez continues to make his fantasy managers happy.

Fri Aug 2 202401:07Jose Ramirez Hits Fourth Homer In Three Days
Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez continued his hot stretch at the plate on Thursday, going 2-for-3 with a homer and a double in a 10-3 win over the Baltimore Orioles. He added a double, two runs, and three RBI. Ramirez has busted out of a mini-slump in July with four homers and eight RBI in his past three games, bringing his season totals to 28 dingers and 90 RBI. That along with a solid .278 AVG, 79 runs, and 20 swipes makes him one of the best five-category contributors in the game and an easy top-five hitter for fantasy.

Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez continued his stellar offensive season in Monday's 8-4 win over the Tigers. Ramirez went 3-for-4 with a double, a pair of solo home runs, and three RBI. The 31-year-old demolished a third-inning Bryan Sammons changeup 451 feet into the left-center seats and later golfed a seventh-inning Sammons curveball into the left-center seats. Ramirez has once again been a five-category fantasy contributor, slashing .276/.330/.527 with 26 HR, 76 runs scored, 85 RBI, and 20 stolen bases in 446 plate appearances. He has been a top fantasy pick for most of his career, and that has been boosted even more this season with the Guardians' strong overall play.

Tue Jun 25 202400:31Jose Ramirez Hits 20th Homer Of Season Monday
Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez continued his solid offensive season in Monday's 3-2 win over the Orioles. Ramirez went 2-for-4 with a single, a solo home run, two RBI, a strikeout, and a stolen base. Ramirez crushed a sixth-inning Cade Povich offering into the center-field bullpens for his 20th HR of the season. The 31-year-old hasn't missed a beat and has continued to produce like a top overall fantasy pick, slashing .276/.333/.536 with 59 runs scored, 69 RBI, and 15 stolen bases in 321 plate appearances. He should continue to be a five-category fantasy stud with the Guardians hitting surprisingly well as a team.

He is in the midst of a hot stretch at the moment, batting .339 with seven homers and 20 RBI over his past 15 contests. He should remain locked into fantasy lineups moving forward.

Sat May 25 202400:58Jose Ramirez Leaves Yard Twice Friday
Cleveland Guardians third baseman Jose Ramirez went yard twice in Friday's win on the road against the Los Angeles Angels, walloping his 13th and 14 home runs of the season. After crushing a Patrick Sandoval sinker for a two-run home run to make the score 4-1 Guardians in the third inning, Ramirez tagged Sandoval for another long ball to extend the Cleveland's lead to 7-2 in the fourth. Over his last 18 games, the 31-year-old fantasy superstar is batting .329 with nine round-trippers, 24 RBI, and three stolen bases as the engine to Cleveland's offense. Ramirez should continue beating up on the Halos this weekend; in 24 games against the Angels since 2021, he's hitting a scalding .353 with 10 bombs, 23 RBI, 20 runs scored, and seven steals.
