Tue Mar 4 | 08:17 | Adam Duvall Turns Down Contract From Kansas City |
Free-agent outfielder Adam Duvall turned down a $1 million contract from the Kansas City Royals. The 36-year-old has informed teams that if he is not guaranteed at least $3 million in a contract, he will retire. Duvall made $3 million with the Atlanta Braves last season. Last summer in Atlanta, the slugger held an underwhelming .182/.245/.323 slash line with 10 doubles and 11 home runs. However, he generated a strong 10.7 percent barrel rate. When facing left-handed pitchers, Duvall was also quite productive, as he posted a solid .252/.341/.514 slash line with four doubles, eight home runs, and a 13:28 BB:K. Duvall has been an elite power hitter throughout the majority of his professional career. If he finds a suitor for the upcoming season, he will likely only see time in a platoon role and would only carry value in deeper AL/NL-only formats. |

Fri Aug 23 2024 | 09:15 | Adam Duvall Picks Up Three Hits |
Atlanta Braves outfielder Adam Duvall went 3-for-3 with a solo home run in Thursday's victory versus the division rival Philadelphia Phillies. Despite his strong performance, the veteran was pinch-hit for with Jarred Kelenic late in the contest. Duvall, who has always been know for ability to go yard is struggling this season with a .186 batting average to go along with 11 homers and 30 RBI. He has just nine hits over his last 45 at-bats and has mostly been a bench bat for Atlanta. Regardless of his big performance on Thursday, Duvall hasn't done nearly enough to warrant any attention amongst managers. He can safely remain on the waiver wire. |

Wed Jul 10 2024 | 08:57 | Adam Duvall Crushes Eighth Homer |
Atlanta Braves outfielder Adam Duvall came up big in Tuesday's victory versus the Arizona Diamondbacks. The veteran slugger went 2-for-3 on the evening with a walk and three-run home run. The homer was crushed 441 feet off Zac Gallen to give the Braves a 5-0 lead at the time. Duvall has gotten plenty of playing time for the Braves and has homered twice in the last three games for Atlanta. The slugger has homered eight times this season, but is only hitting .191 on the season, making him a weak option in the deepest of leagues. Outside of daily lineups and managers hoping to capitalize on a power surge, Duvall can safely remain on the waiver wire. |

Tue May 28 2024 | 07:19 | Adam Duvall Launches Second Long Ball In As Many Games |
Atlanta Braves outfielder Adam Duvall launched a two-run blast on Monday, his second in as many days. Through 34 games this season, the 35-year-old has posted a .209/.303/.407 line with five long balls and a 10:22 BB:K ratio. Duvall has not been able to find consistent playing time this season, but that will change due to the recent season-ending injury to Ronald Acuna Jr. (knee). He is now expected to slot in as the everyday right fielder in Atlanta, with J.P. Martinez serving as his backup. While Duval does have strong hitting metrics, such as an excellent 13.8% barrel rate and .499 xSLG, he holds a 22.2% K Rate, which does hurt his value in points leagues. Due to the increase in playing time and power upside, he is worth adding in deeper leagues. |

Mon May 27 2024 | 15:57 | Adam Duvall Starting In Right Field For Braves |
In the first game for the Atlanta Braves on Memorial Day on Monday since learning that All-Star outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. (knee) will miss the rest of the season due to a full ACL tear, outfielder Adam Duvall is covering for him in right field and will bat sixth against the visiting Washington Nationals and rookie left-hander Mitchell Parker. Duvall hit his fourth home run of the season on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Pirates and is now set to see a big playing time increase with Acuna out of the picture entirely for the rest of 2024. The former 11th-round pick by the San Francisco Giants in 2010 out of Louisville isn't going to provide much in terms of a useful batting average, but he still has notable pop in his bat and is worth a pickup in deeper mixed leagues now that he should see more of a regular role moving forward. Duvall is currently slashing .207/.305/.378 with four homer and 11 RBI in 33 games. |

Thu Mar 14 2024 | 14:03 | Adam Duvall Inks One-Year Deal With Braves |
Free-agent outfielder Adam Duvall has signed a one-year, $3 million deal to return to the Atlanta Braves. This marks the veteran's third career stint with the Braves after spending parts of four seasons with them from 2018-2021 before returning for 86 games in the 2022 season after being traded to the Marlins in 2021. Most recently, the 35-year-old spent the 2023 season with the Red Sox, hitting .247 with 21 home runs, four stolen bases, and an .834 OPS. His season was slowed by a broken wrist suffered in April as he would appear in just 92 games in the 2023 season. The plan is for Duvall and offseason trade acquisition Jarred Kelenic to platoon in left field for the Braves in the 2024 campaign. He should provide quality power as he has throughout his career but his playing time will be limited, putting a hard cap on his fantasy value. |

Wed Jan 31 2024 | 15:07 | Adam Duvall Being Considered By Twins |
Free-agent outfielder Adam Duvall is being considered by the Minnesota Twins as they seek outfield help prior to the opening of spring training. The 35-year-old spent the 2023 season with the Boston Red Sox and hit .247 with 21 home runs, four stolen bases, and a healthy .834 OPS across 353 trips to the plate. Duvall came out of the gate red-hot a season ago, hitting .455 with four home runs, five doubles, a triple, and a 1.544 OPS in his first eight games before suffering a broken wrist that would cost him two full months. Nonetheless, it was still a very productive season despite contact issues still limiting him as he posted a hefty 31.2% K%, the third straight season in which he has struck out at a minimum of that 2023 rate. |

Thu Jan 18 2024 | 19:48 | Angels, Red Sox In The Bidding For Adam Duvall |
The Los Angeles Angels and Boston Red Sox are in the bidding for free-agent outfielder Adam Duvall, and unless another team comes in late, he's likely to pick between the Angels and Red Sox. Duvall spent the 2023 season with the Red Sox, so a return to Beantown seems like a good move after he hit .247/.303/.531 with an .834 OPS, 21 home runs, 24 doubles, two triples, 58 RBI, four stolen bases and 45 runs scored in only 92 games due to injuries. On-base percentage and batting average aren't Duvall's forte because of his free-swinging ways, but he still is an intriguing power bat for fantasy managers as outfield depth. The 35-year-old veteran has 184 career home runs in 10 major-league seasons to go along with a strong .763 OPS over 922 games played. Boston would be the best landing spot for fantasy purposes in 2024. |

Thu Aug 24 2023 | 12:17 | Adam Duvall In The Lineup Against Astros |
Boston Red Sox outfielder Adam Duvall (foot) is starting in left field and batting cleanup for the Red Sox on Thursday against Houston Astros right-hander J.P. France. Duvall fouled a ball off his right foot in Wednesday's game and was limping around the bases after hitting a go-ahead home run late in the game, but he never had to leave the game and is now back in action a day later. The 34-year-old is on quite a streak of late, homering in each of his last three games while also hitting two doubles, driving in seven and scoring four runs in 14 plate appearances. On the year, the right-handed slugger has 14 home runs, 42 RBI and a .259/.322/.541 slash line in 64 games in his first year in Boston. |

Wed Aug 9 2023 | 14:20 | Adam Duvall Getting A Breather Wednesday |
Boston Red Sox outfielder Adam Duvall is not in the starting lineup Wednesday night versus the Kansas City Royals and right-hander Jordan Lyles. The veteran slugged a homer in Tuesday night's 9-3 loss to the Royals but will take a seat for the third game of a four-game set on Wednesday. Duvall has cooled off after a white-hot start and a lengthy stint on the injured list with a fractured wrist but still has 10 homers and an .816 OPS across 51 games on the season. Not helping his fantasy cause is a crowded Red Sox outfield that has forced Duvall to the bench despite him hitting all 10 of his homers alongside an .875 OPS against right-handed pitching this season. Managers will be sorry to see him sitting against Lyles and his 1.75 HR/9 this season. |

Mon Jul 24 2023 | 19:50 | Adam Duvall Receiving Trade Interest From Braves |
Boston Red Sox outfielder Adam Duvall is being eyed by the Atlanta Braves prior to the Aug. 1 MLB trade deadline. Of course, the Braves are familiar with Duvall as the slugger spent parts of four seasons in Atlanta, providing them with excellent production for the vast majority of that time. It's no surprise to once again see Duvall's name circling in the rumor mill this time of the year, not only because he's been traded at the deadline three times, but because he has slugged seven homers alongside four stolen bases and an .835 OPS across 39 games with the Red Sox this season despite a long-term wrist injury. Surely, Atlanta won't be the only interested party as a result. |

Wed Jul 5 2023 | 14:24 | Adam Duvall Back In Red Sox's Lineup |
Boston Red Sox outfielder Adam Duvall (illness) is starting in center field and batting sixth in the lineup on Wednesday against the visiting Texas Rangers and right-hander Jon Gray. Duvall wasn't in the lineup against a right-hander on Tuesday and was feeling under the weather, but he's available again on Wednesday. Fantasy managers may want to keep the 34-year-old right-handed slugger on the bench, though, as he's hitting an embarrassing .152 (10-for-66) with one home run, four doubles, four RBI and 27 strikeouts in 74 trips to the plate in 20 games since returning from the injured list on June 9. Duvall is going to need to make much more contact in order to regain fantasy managers' trust heading into the second half of the 2023 season. |

Tue Jul 4 2023 | 12:24 | Adam Duvall Sitting Versus Right-Hander |
Boston Red Sox outfielder Adam Duvall is out of Boston's starting lineup against the visiting Texas Rangers and right-hander Dane Dunning on Tuesday. It's the third straight game that Duvall has been benched against a right-handed pitcher. Jarren Duran is in center field and batting leadoff, with Justin Turner serving as the designated hitter and batting fifth. Duvall was insanely hot at the dish early in the year before landing on the injured list, but he's hit just .154 (10-for-65) with one home run, four doubles, four RBI and 26 strikeouts in 19 games since returning on June 9. The 34-year-old right-handed slugger has gone 4-for-31 (.129) with no homers, two doubles, one RBI and 14 K's in his last nine games. Duvall's fantasy stock is in a freefall right now. |

Mon Jun 12 2023 | 16:30 | Adam Duvall Returns To The Lineup On Monday |
Boston Red Sox outfielder Adam Duvall is back in the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Colorado Rockies. The 34-year-old didn't start on Sunday, but came off the bench as a pinch-hitter during their victory. Duvall has recorded one hit over six at-bats since returning from the injured list on Friday. He'll cover center field and bat fifth versus right-hander Connor Seabold on Monday. The hope is that facing a struggling pitcher will help Duvall get his bat going again. |

Thu Jun 8 2023 | 22:55 | Adam Duvall To Come Off Injured List Friday |
Boston Red Sox outfielder Adam Duvall (wrist) will be activated from the 60-day injured list on Friday before the start of a weekend series against the division-rival New York Yankees in the Bronx. Duvall has been out since fracturing his wrist on April 10 and will have an everyday role in Boston's outfield. The 34-year-old power-hitting right-hander played in seven minor-league rehab games with Triple-A Worcester and went 5-for-24 (.208) with a double, two home runs and three RBI. Fantasy managers can only hope Duvall can be anywhere near as good as he was in the eight games before he fractured his wrist, as he had gone 15-for-33 (.455) with five doubles, a triple, four home runs and 14 RBI. He's rostered in 67% of Yahoo leagues currently, but that number should be higher. |

Mon Jun 5 2023 | 12:14 | Adam Duvall Thinks He'll Return Friday |
Boston Red Sox outfielder Adam Duvall (wrist) is back in the team's clubhouse, but he'll play in more minor-league rehab games this week. Barring a setback, he thinks he's in line to be activated from the injured list on Friday when he's first eligible to come off the 60-day IL. Duvall went 1-for-2 with his second home run, two RBI, three runs scored, two walks and a strikeout for Triple-A Worcester on Sunday, and he's now gone 3-for-16 with a double and two home runs in five rehab games in the minors. The 34-year-old has been out since early April with a fractured left wrist, but he seems poised to rejoin Boston's lineup this weekend in a series against the division-rival New York Yankees. Make sure Duvall isn't available on your league's waiver wire. |

Fri May 26 2023 | 19:52 | Adam Duvall To Start Rehab Assignment Tuesday |
Boston Red Sox outfielder Adam Duvall (wrist) will start his minor-league rehab assignment on Tuesday with Triple-A Worcester. Duvall resumed hitting off a tee and doing soft toss last weekend, so he's expected to be around three weeks from returning to the major-league roster. The 34-year-old power-hitting outfielder has been rehabbing from a fractured left wrist that he suffered while diving for a ball in the outfield on April 10. Before the injury, he had gone 15-for-33 (.455) with five doubles, a triple, four home runs and 14 RBI in just eight games. Duvall isn't going to be that hot all year, but he'll be an everyday player and should be stashed in all fantasy leagues. If for some reason he's on your league's waiver wire, add him immediately. |

Duvall sustained the injury while attempting to make a diving catch in center field on April 10. He got off to a hot start, batting .455 with 15 hits, 14 RBI, and four home runs across eight games. Duvall should see everyday at-bats once he returns in June and should be stashed in all league formats. |

Sat Apr 15 2023 | 15:05 | Adam Duvall Faces "Long Road Ahead" |
Boston Red Sox outfielder Adam Duvall (wrist) will not require surgery on his left distal fracture. However, he indicated he faces a "long rehab road ahead." "Maybe six weeks before I can swing again," Said Duvall. "I'm going to keep running and keep throwing to stay in shape." The 34-year-old got off to a hot start to the 2023 season, and before going down with the injury, he was batting .455 with 15 hits, 14 RBI, and four home runs. Unfortunately, it will be a while before fantasy managers can get him back in the lineup, assuming everything goes well. In the meantime, Raimel Tapia, Enrique Hernandez, and Rob Refsnyder will get more action. |

Mon Apr 10 2023 | 21:23 | Adam Duvall Will Not Need Surgery On His Wrist |
Updating a previous report, Boston Red Sox outfielder Adam Duvall (wrist) will not require surgery to repair the broken wrist he suffered during Sunday's contest. Manager Alex Cora told reporters during Monday's postgame press conference that Duvall will not be needing surgery. That being said, Duvall is still expected to miss multiple weeks with the injury. Duvall had been off to an excellent start in 2023, hitting .455 with four homers and 14 RBI in eight games. Boston will turn to a combination of Raimel Tapia, Enrique Hernandez, and Rob Refsnyder in the outfield to cover for Duvall while he heals. |
