Through the early part of the 2025 campaign, Schmitt has seen time at first base and the keystone. Through eight games, Schmitt posted a .174/.208/.261 slash line. However, under the hood, the 26-year-old should be in line to see some positive regression as he has generated a much higher .278 xBA with a stellar 21.4 percent barrel rate. If Schmitt were to hit the injured list, fantasy managers should expect Wilmer Flores to see more time at first base and Christian Koss to see more time at the keystone.
