Fri Feb 715:47White Sox Claim Brandon Eisert Off Waivers From Rays
The Chicago White Sox claimed left-hander Brandon Eisert off waivers from the Tampa Bay Rays on Friday and designated right-hander Steven Wilson for assignment in a corresponding move to make room for Eisert on the 40-man roster. The White Sox will be the third team for Eisert since the beginning of the year after also briefly being with the Toronto Blue Jays. The 27-year-old southpaw will have a better shot to make the big-league roster in Chicago, but nevertheless he won't be on the fantasy radar by any means. The former 18th-round pick by the Blue Jays in 2019 out of Oregon State University made his major-league debut in Toronto in 2024 but only threw 6 2/3 relief innings, allowing three earned runs while walking four and striking out only two. Eisert represents left-handed relief depth for the rebuilding White Sox.

Tue Feb 408:22Rays Designate Brandon Eisert For Assignment
According to Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times, the Tampa Bay Rays have designated left-handed pitcher Brandon Eisert for assignment. This transaction opened a roster spot for infielder Ha-Seong Kim, who the team officially signed on Monday. The Rays acquired Eisert from the Blue Jays last week. The 27-year-old spent has spent his entire professional career in Toronto. Last season, Eisert held a 4.05 ERA and a 1.35 WHIP across six 2/3 innings of work. Across 53 2/3 innings at Triple-A last summer, the left-handed pitcher posted a 3.86 ERA and a 1.34 WHIP. He struck out 66 batters and served up 21 free passes. Fantasy managers should expect Eisert to open the season at Triple-A, given his lack of MLB experience.

Fri Jan 2408:49Brandon Eisert Traded To Tampa Bay
The Toronto Blue Jays have traded left-handed pitcher Brandon Eisert to the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for cash considerations. The 27-year-old was recently designated for assignment to open a roster spot for Anthony Santander. The Oregon State product made his major league debut with the Blue Jays last summer, allowing three earned runs across a short six 2/3 inning stint. Eisert has spent most of the previous three seasons with Triple-A Buffalo. Across 183 1/3 innings, the 27-year-old has held a 3.83 ERA with a 1.27 WHIP. He struck out an impressive 219 batters and served up 61 free passes. He operated primarily in a relief role but did make 10 starts. Fantasy managers should expect Eisert to compete for a spot on the Tampa Bay Opening Day roster during spring training.

Mon Jan 2019:57Brandon Eisert Designated For Assignment
According to Keegan Matheson of MLB.com, the Toronto Blue Jays have designated left-handed pitcher Brandon Eisert for assignment. This transaction opened a roster spot for outfielder Anthony Santander, who the team signed to a five-year contract earlier on Monday. Eisert made his major league debut last summer. Across a small six 2/3 inning stint, the southpaw allowed three earned runs with a 4:2 BB:K ratio. Through 53 2/3 innings at Triple-A Buffalo, Eisert posted a 3.86 ERA and a 1.34 WHIP. He struck out 66 batters. This was a slight improvement compared to the 4.17 ERA and the 1.32 WHIP he posted with Triple-A Buffalo during the 2023 season. Given his lack of major league experience and success, Eisert will likely spend most of the 2025 season in the minor leagues.
