"We have a pretty good idea of what we're going to do (at second). We just have to be patient," manager Alex Cora said Friday. It's expected that Hamilton will make the roster as a utility infielder if he loses out to Campbell. "There's a pretty good chance he's going to be on the team," Cora said of Hamilton. In AL-only leagues, Hamilton may be worth stashing for his speed.

Fantasy managers in AL-only and deep-mixed leagues could target Hamilton for his speed.

It's possible that the Red Sox could become unhappy with Enmanuel Valdez's play at second base and slot Hamilton in there, but that seems unlikely at this point. For now, Hamilton remains an exciting player to watch develop in the Boston Red Sox system.
