Wed Apr 1617:37Kyle Bradish On Track To Return Later This Summer
Baltimore Orioles right-hander Kyle Bradish's (elbow) recovery from Tommy John surgery is "flying along" as well as it could be, according to general manager Mike Elias. Bradish is right on track in his recovery and could return in the later half of the summer. The 28-year-old threw his first bullpen session last Saturday since he had TJ surgery last June. While he had an ERA under 3.00 in each of the last two seasons, he only made eight starts in 2024 before being shut down with elbow issues before needing elbow reconstruction. When Bradish does return, he'll have his innings managed, which will lower his fantasy ceiling. For now, he should remain on the waiver wire in most single-year fantasy leagues. In 30 starts in his second MLB season in 2023, Bradish went 12-7 with a 2.83 ERA and 1.04 WHIP with 168 strikeouts and 44 walks in 168 2/3 frames over 30 starts.

Fri Mar 2121:19Orioles Add Kyle Gibson, Put Kyle Bradish On 60-Day Injured List
The Baltimore Orioles agreed to terms on a one-year major-league deal with free-agent right-hander Kyle Gibson on Friday and placed right-hander Kyle Bradish (elbow) on the 60-day injured list in a corresponding move to make room for Gibson on the 40-man roster. Gibson's deal is for $5.25 million and will give Baltimore some more starting depth entering the 2025 season with Grayson Rodriguez, Tyler Wells and Bradish all opening the year on the injured list with elbow issues. The 37-year-old veteran could get some decent run in the team's rotation eventually, which could make him worth pursuing in AL-only formats. Gibson spent the 2023 season in Baltimore before going 8-8 with a 4.24 ERA and 1.35 WHIP with 151 K's and 68 walks in 30 starts for the Cardinals in 2024. There's not much upside, but Gibson could have some streaming appeal in DFS back in Baltimore.

Mon Feb 1719:12Kyle Bradish Throwing On Flat Ground, Feels Good
Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher Kyle Bradish (elbow) has been throwing on flat ground, and his elbow "feels good." However, the right-hander still does not have a definite timetable. The 28-year-old underwent Tommy John surgery with an internal brace procedure last June. Bradish noted that he was pitching through pain before the operation but wanted to help his team. Fantasy managers should continue monitoring his status, as he could return sometime in the second half of the campaign. Before being shut down last summer, Bradish posted a strong 2.75 ERA and a 1.07 WHIP across 39 1/3 innings. Bradish tallied strikeouts at an elite 32.5 percent rate and ground balls at an excellent 56.0 percent rate. While Bradish is sidelined, fantasy managers should expect Dean Kremer to be deployed in the final spot in the starting rotation.

Fri Feb 1415:29Kyle Bradish "Right On Track," Could Return In Second Half
Baltimore Orioles right-hander Kyle Bradish (elbow) is "right on track" in his recovery from Tommy John surgery, manager Brandon Hyde said on Friday. Barring a setback in his recovery, Hyde said that a return is possible in the second half of the season for Bradish. The 28-year-old had Tommy John and an internal-brace procedure in June of 2024 and will not be available for the entire first half of the 2025 season, making him one to ignore for fantasy managers in single-year redraft leagues. However, he could become a worthwhile streamer in deeper formats late in the year. Bradish was looking good for Baltimore early last year before his elbow issues cropped up, posting a 2.75 ERA and 1.07 WHIP with 53 K's in 39 1/3 innings over eight starts. He also had a breakout 2023 campaign with a 2.83 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 168:44 K:BB in 30 starts (168 2/3 frames).

Thu Jan 915:07Kyle Bradish, Orioles Avoid Arbitration
According to Jon Heyman of the New York Post, starting pitcher Kyle Bradish (elbow) and the Baltimore Orioles have agreed to a one-year, $2.35 million contract to avoid salary arbitration. The 28-year-old logged 39 1/3 innings in 2024 before undergoing season-ending Tommy John surgery. In this small stint, the right-hander posted a 2.75 ERA and a 1.07 WHIP. Under the hood, he generated a stellar 28.6% hard-hit rate and 56.0% ground-ball rate. He also struck out batters at an elite 32.5% rate. In 2023, Bradish posted a 2.83 ERA and a 1.04 WHIP across 168 2/3 innings of work in a breakout season. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status throughout the season, as he may be eligible to return to the Baltimore rotation sometime during the second half of the 2025 campaign.

Thu Dec 12 202419:57Kyle Bradish Begins Throwing Program
According to Danielle Allentuck of the Baltimore Banner, Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher Kyle Bradish (elbow) began a throwing program. Bradish underwent Tommy John surgery last June but still faces a long recovery process. Baltimore has noted that they hope Bradish can rejoin the starting rotation sometime in the second half of the 2025 campaign. Across 39 1/3 innings last season, the right-hander posted a solid 2.75 ERA and 1.07 WHIP. During his 2023 breakout campaign, the 28-year-old held a 2.83 ERA and 1.04 WHIP across a career-high 168 2/3 innings. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his progress during the first half of the season, and he is a name to keep an eye on as he could be a reliable starting pitcher during the final months of the season.

Fri Nov 15 202420:37Orioles Hope To Have Kyle Bradish, Tyler Wells Around Midseason
Baltimore Orioles general manager Mike Elias said the team is expecting both right-handers Kyle Bradish (elbow) and Tyler Wells (elbow) to be ready to return around midseason in 2025. When Bradish underwent Tommy John surgery in mid-June with an internal brace, he was given a 12- to 18-month recovery timetable. The 28-year-old has yet to resume throwing, so it's almost a certainty that he won't make his 2025 debut until after the All-Star break. Wells also had season-ending surgery in mid-June due to UCL revision surgery while also receiving an internal brace. Bradish is the more established starter in Baltimore, while Wells' role is to be determined whenever he's ready to return. Bradish broke out to the tune of a 2.83 ERA and 1.04 WHIP in 30 starts in 2023 and had a 2.75 ERA after eight starts this past season before injuring his elbow.

Sat Jun 15 202400:16Kyle Bradish Nursing Elbow Issue
Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher Kyle Bradish (elbow) said his elbow was bothering him after the fifth inning of Friday's game against the visiting Philadelphia Phillies. Manager Brandon Hyde said Baltimore will have Bradish undergo further tests to determine what the problem is. Considering Bradish missed the first month of the year with a UCL sprain during spring training, it's not exactly what the O's or fantasy managers want to be hearing. With five strong innings on Friday against the Phillies, the 27-year-old right-hander sports a 2.75 ERA and 1.07 WHIP with 53 punchouts and 15 walks through 39 1/3 innings in 2024. Bradish is tentatively slated to start next Friday's matchup against the Houston Astros, though his test results would need to come back clean for that to happen.

Mon May 27 202401:27Kyle Bradish Tosses Seven No-Hit Innings Against White Sox
Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher Kyle Bradish dominated the Chicago White Sox on Sunday, throwing seven no-hit innings and picking up the win in a 4-1 victory. Bradish was firing on all cylinders in this one, striking out a season-high 11. He did walk four, but that can be looked past given the aforementioned zero hits allowed. He was pulled after the seventh, which makes sense given he was at 103 pitches and his season-high was only 90 before this game. For some reason, the righty isn't universally rostered right now, but he ought to be and likely will be after this start. Go get him if he is available.

Thu May 9 202410:54Kyle Bradish Strikes Out Nine In No-Decision
Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher Kyle Bradish threw five innings of one-run ball in Wednesday's 7-6 12-inning victory over the Nationals, allowing four hits and two walks while striking out nine, but did not factor into the decision. Bradish has now had two solid outings since coming off the IL, now boasting a 1.86 ERA, 1.24 WHIP, and a 4:14 BB:K over nine-and-two-thirds IP. Fantasy managers who stashed him in an IL spot for the first month of the season should feel confident using him again, if they hadn't already, although his innings may be somewhat limited as he returns to full strength. The former fourth-round MLB draft pick's next start lines up next Tuesday at home against Toronto.

Fri May 3 202407:39Kyle Bradish Strikes Out Five On Thursday
Baltimore Orioles right-hander Kyle Bradish allowed one run on four hits over 4 2/3 innings in a 7-2 win over the New York Yankees on Thursday. Bradish struck out five and walked two while taking a no-decision in the outing. It was an encouraging start for Bradish, who was activated from the 15-day injured list earlier in the day on Thursday after missing the start of the 2024 season after spraining the UCL in his right elbow during spring training. Bradish needs to be rostered in all leagues moving forward after he posted a 2.83 ERA and 168 strikeouts across 168 2/3 innings of work for the Orioles in 2023.

Fri May 3 202401:15Kyle Bradish Looks Good In First Start Of Season
Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher Kyle Bradish threw 4 innings of one-run ball in his first start of the 2024 season against the New York Yankees on Thursday. Bradish didn't pick up the win as he didn't go five innings, but he was solid and gave his team a good chance to win. He gave up four hits and two walks while striking out five in the shortened outing, throwing 84 pitches. Bradish should get back to a normal workload soon and will hopefully return to his 2023 form where he posted a 2.83 ERA and 1.04 WHIP with 168 strikeouts in 168 IP. The 27-year-old should be universally rostered in fantasy.

Thu May 2 202412:08Kyle Bradish Reinstated And Starting On Thursday
The Baltimore Orioles reinstated right-hander Kyle Bradish (elbow) from the 15-day injured list on Thursday and designated right-hander Yohan Ramirez for assignment in a corresponding move. Bradish is making the start on Thursday in the series finale against the visiting New York Yankees. First of all, if Bradish is available on your league's waiver wire, run there and scoop him up immediately. The 27-year-old is finally back after being diagnosed with a sprained UCL in his right elbow in spring training. While he should be rostered in all fantasy leagues after his mini breakout in 2023, managers should be hesitant to throw him right into the fire against a strong Yankees lineup after he threw only 77 pitches in his final minor-league rehab start with Triple-A Norfolk. Bradish had a strong 2.83 ERA and 1.04 WHIP with a 168:44 K:BB in 168 2/3 innings last year.

Sat Apr 27 202413:52Kyle Bradish Set To Rejoin Baltimore Rotation
Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher Kyle Bradish (elbow) is slated to rejoin the Baltimore rotation, according to manager Brandon Hyde. The 27-year-old made three rehab appearances with Triple-A over the past two weeks and is officially on his way to the major leagues. Bradish looked great in his final rehab appearance on Friday, where he tossed five innings of one-run ball with ten punchouts. Last season, Bradish posted an overall 2.83 ERA and 1.04 WHIP but was especially outstanding down the stretch, where he posted a 2.34 ERA and 0.91 WHIP in the second half. Bradish should be rostered in all formats. He should be given ample opportunities to win games behind an excellent lineup and provide strong ratios.

Sat Apr 27 202412:32Kyle Bradish Picks Up Win In Rehab Start
Baltimore Orioles right-hander Kyle Bradish (elbow) looked much better in his latest rehab start for Triple-A Norfolk on Friday, allowed an earned run on five hits while walking one and striking out six in five innings to pick up a win. He threw 77 total pitches in the outing, 49 of which were strikes. Although his fastball velocity isn't quite where it needs to be, this was an encouraging outing for the 27-year-old after he allowed four earned runs while walking three in 3 1/3 innings in his last rehab start. It remains to be seen if the O's want him to make another rehab start as he recovers from an offseason UCL sprain, but after his breakout in 2023, fantasy managers in mixed leagues should scoop him up if he's still on the waiver wire. Bradish is getting close to returning to Baltimore.

Fri Apr 19 202419:24Kyle Bradish To Make Rehab Start On Sunday
Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher Kyle Bradish (elbow) is set to make his next rehab start with Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday. The right-hander looked sharp during his most recent rehab outing on Tuesday. The organization has bumped him up to Triple-A, but he'll likely need at least one or two more outings before he's ready to return to the O's rotation. Fantasy managers should continue to hold Bradish and be hopeful for a return in early May.

Wed Apr 17 202416:29Kyle Bradish Has Scoreless Rehab Outing
Baltimore Orioles right-hander Kyle Bradish (elbow) looked good in his first minor-league rehab start with Double-A Bowie on Tuesday, tossing three shutout innings with just one hit allowed, no walks and four strikeouts. It was a very promising first appearance for a pitcher that is trying to avoid needing surgery after being diagnosed with a partially torn UCL in spring training. The 27-year-old is going to need probably a few more starts in the minors before the Orioles feel comfortable activating him from the injured list for his season debut in the big leagues. Fantasy managers in mixed leagues should consider stashing Bradish soon for extra pitching depth after he had a breakout for the O's in 2023. The former fourth-rounder in 2018 by the Los Angeles Angels out of New Mexico State went 12-7 with a 2.83 ERA and 1.04 WHIP with 44 walks and 168 K's in 30 starts a year ago.

Mon Apr 15 202416:31Kyle Bradish To Make A Rehab Start Tuesday
Baltimore Orioles right-hander Kyle Bradish (elbow) will make his first minor-league rehab start on Tuesday with Double-A Bowie. Bradish is hoping to go two to three innings or 40 to 50 pitches in his first rehab start this week. The 27-year-old is recovering from a partial tear to his right UCL, so the Orioles are probably going to be pretty cautious with him as he attempts to return to the major-league rotation. There's no guarantee that Bradish will be able to get through all of the 2024 season without suffering a setback that would require season-ending Tommy John surgery, but the hope for now is that he can return to the O's rotation and avoid going under the knife. After his breakout performance in 2023, Bradish deserves to be stashed in an IL spot for now in at least deep-mixed fantasy leagues.

Sun Apr 14 202416:32Kyle Bradish Set For Rehab Assignment
Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher Kyle Bradish (elbow) will pitch for Double-A Bowie this week as he continues his recovery from a sprained UCL. The 27-year-old has not suffered any setbacks or noticed a downtick in velocity during his throwing sessions. Bradish will likely need around three rehab starts before returning to the majors as he missed all of spring training. He was fantastic for the Orioles in 2023, posting a 12-7 record to go along with a 2.83 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 168/44 K/BB. Bradish deserves to be rostered in all formats as he nears closer to his return.

Sat Apr 13 202414:53Kyle Bradish Throws Bullpen Session On Saturday
Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher Kyle Bradish (elbow) was seen throwing a bullpen session prior to Saturday's game. This is a significant step for Bradish as he hopes to begin a rehab stint later this week. Baltimore manager Brandon Hyde expressed his confidence and stated that Bradish is scheduled to join Double-A Bowie later in the week. Bradish looks to be nearing the end of his recovery from a sprained UCL injury that he was diagnosed with at the beginning of Spring Training. The 27-year-old was excellent last season as he pitched to a 2.83 ERA and 1.04 WHIP and was dominant in the stretch run as he held a 2.34 ERA and 0.91 WHIP in the second half and should slotted right into the rotation when he is cleared.
