Marlins outfielder Kyle Stowers saw the ball well this weekend. In Miami's three-game series against Washington, Stowers went 7-for-13 with four runs scored and six RBI. Three of those runs came in Sunday's 11-4 win over the Nationals. Stowers also had three hits and two RBI in the game. Stowers is off to a surprisingly good start in 2025. Through 14 games played, he is hitting .314 with one home run, 10 RBI, eight runs, and a stolen base. Stowers is a recent adopter of the torpedo bat, making the change during last week's series in Atlanta. Stowers has recorded a hit in all but one game since. After a day off on Monday, the Marlins will host the Diamondbacks for three games.

With Pittsburgh Pirates left-hander Andrew Heaney starting the series finale on Sunday at loanDepot Park against the hosting Miami Marlins, both third baseman Graham Pauley and outfielder Kyle Stowers will start on the bench. Jonah Bride will make the start at third base and will hit fifth, while Javier Sanoja is starting in left field and batting in the nine-hole for the Fish. Neither Bride nor Sanoja have ever faced Heaney. The 24-year-old Pauley and the 27-year-old Stowers will be regulars in Miami's starting lineup when the team faces right-handed pitchers, but they will often be rested against southpaws. Jackson noted that the team is hopeful Stowers can "recapture some of the promise he showed with the Orioles." Before being traded to Miami, the outfielder held a strong .306 AVG. However, once he joined the Marlins, Stowers saw his AVG drop to .186 and held a poor .262 OBP. He also hit just two home runs across 50 games. Despite the drop in production, Stowers still generated a 51.3 percent hard-hit rate, which is a positive sign. Conine made his MLB debut last season and had a .268/.326/.451 line across 30 contests. He tallied four doubles and three home runs with 12 RBI. Both outfielders will only have value in deeper formats as they have yet to have much extended success at the MLB level.

Miami Marlins outfielders Jesus Sanchez and Kyle Stowers are both out of Saturday's lineup as the Marlins continue a three-game set against the Chicago Cubs. Both Sanchez and Stowers will get the day off because the Cubs are sending out southpaw Shota Imanaga. He will see extended playing time with the Marlins and should be strongly considered in NL-only waiver wires while also drawing interest in dynasty league formats.

Stowers is hitting .236 with Norfolk. The left-handed hitter spent some time in the majors this season with Baltimore, hitting .286 with a homer and nine RBI in 35 at-bats. Stowers is part of a loaded Baltimore farm system and found it difficult to find a permanent spot with the Orioles. He could get another shot for some at-bats in Baltimore this year, but in the meantime, he will get regular plate appearances with Norfolk.

The Baltimore Orioles plan to call up outfielder Kyle Stowers from Triple-A Norfolk, according to Britt Ghiroli of The Athletic. This will be Stowers's third time up in the majors with the first two coming in 2022 and 2023. Both times, though, the outfielder struggled mightily at the plate. He is hitting just .207 with three home runs, four doubles, and 11 RBI over 48 major league games in his career so far. As a result, he isn't an add in most formats. However, keep an eye on his playing time over the next few games because he showed some power potential in 36 Triple-A games this season, hitting 11 HRs with 11 doubles and 32 RBI.

Baltimore Orioles outfield prospect Kyle Stowers has been reassigned to minor-league camp alongside fellow prospects Jackson Holliday and Heston Kjerstad. The move comes after Stowers enjoyed a massive big-league camp in Grapefruit League action as the 26-year-old clubbed seven spring homers while driving in 14 runs alongside a 1.011 OPS across 45 trips to the plate. While he struggled in a small 33-plate-appearance sample with the Orioles in the 2023 season, he hit .245 with 17 home runs alongside a 14.1% BB% in 68 games with Triple-A Norfolk a season ago, good for an .875 OPS. Stowers is becoming a lineup regular against right-handed pitching, having started in the outfield in six straight starts for the O's against righties. The 25-year-old left-handed hitter has just two hits in 21 at-bats, though, with no home runs or RBI and seven strikeouts in his first 11 games for Baltimore. Stowers will have a very low DFS ceiling in the nine-hole, and he'll need to pick things up offensively if he wants to continue having a role against right-handers.

Baltimore Orioles outfielder Kyle Stowers has been called up by the team and will hit fifth in his return from the minors on Friday. Stowers was first called up in mid-June, but only appeared in two games before being sent back down. The Orioles' ninth-ranked prospect has played exclusively at Triple-A this season, outside of his brief MLB stint, and has put up good numbers, slashing .264/.357/.527 with 19 homers. Strikeouts remain a problem for the 24-year-old, but he has managed to cut his strikeout rate back from 32.3% last year to 25.6% this year. According to manager Brandon Hyde, Stowers will see a lot of action, making him relevant in deeper leagues where outfield depth could be lacking.
