Sun Apr 612:37J.T. Realmuto, Alec Bohm Resting On Sunday
Philadelphia Phillies catcher J.T. Realmuto and third baseman Alec Bohm are both getting a day of rest for Sunday's series finale against the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers at Citizens Bank Park. Rafael Marchan is behind the plate and is batting ninth, while Edmundo Sosa is starting at third and batting seventh against Dodgers right-hander Tyler Glasnow. Both Realmuto and Bohm will get two days off with the Phillies' next game not coming until Tuesday at the division-rival Atlanta Braves. Realmuto has picked things up offensively the last five games, going 5-for-16 with an RBI, two runs and a stolen base. The 28-year-old Bohm will be out for the first time this year after starting the season just 7-for-35 with a double, three RBI, one walk and five strikeouts in eight games. Neither Sosa nor Marchan have ever faced Glasnow in their careers.

Wed Mar 1912:15Alec Bohm Back In Wednesday's Spring Lineup
Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm (foot) is back in the starting lineup for Wednesday's Grapefruit League game against the New York Yankees and is starting at third base and batting cleanup, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer's Lochlahn March. It will be Bohm's first game action since Saturday due to a bruised foot. The 28-year-old former third overall pick in 2018 out of Wichita State University was the subject of trade rumors in the offseason, but he will remain in Philly for now, where his fantasy value is the highest, especially if he's hitting in the heart of one of the best lineups in baseball. Bohm has been swinging a hot back in camp, too, batting .344 (11-for-32) with three home runs, three doubles, five RBI and 10 runs in 11 Grapefruit League games. While Bohm may not have high-end power for a third baseman, he hits for a high average and will have plenty of opportunities to drive in runs.

Mon Mar 1717:54Alec Bohm Could Play On Wednesday
Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm (foot) could return to the Grapefruit League lineup on Wednesday against the New York Yankees, according to MLB.com's Todd Zolecki. Bohm has been out since Saturday due to a bruised foot, but his injury isn't serious and he should be ready to go for Opening Day next Thursday, March 27, in D.C. against the division-rival Washington Nationals. A candidate to be traded in the offseason, the 28-year-old has stuck with Philly and is currently hitting a cool .344 (11-for-32) with three home runs, three doubles, five RBI and 10 runs scored in 11 Grapefruit League contests. He was a first-time All-Star in 2024 and finished with a .280/.332/.448 slash line, 15 home runs, 97 RBI, five steals and 62 runs in 143 games played. Bohm will need to hit fly balls to reward fantasy managers with more homers, but he hits the ball hard and is in the middle of one of the best lineups in baseball.

Thu Dec 5 202400:37Mariners Have Had Talks About Alec Bohm
The Seattle Mariners have at least had preliminary talks about acquiring All-Star third baseman Alec Bohm from the Philadelphia Phillies to fill their vacancy at the hot corner. However, Philadelphia's high asking price for Bohm has given Seattle pause. The Phillies have reportedly asked for one of the team's starters -- either Logan Gilbert or George Kirby -- in a package involving Bohm. Bohm hit .280 with 15 home runs and 97 RBI in the best season of his career in 2024, but he hit just .258 with 11 homers and 67 RBI after the first month of the season. For how much hard contact the 28-year-old right-handed slugger made, fantasy managers would have expected more power, with his playing-time volume and surrounding lineup carrying a lot of his value. While there's nothing to suggest the M's will actually trade for Bohm, a move to Seattle would be a downgrade in lineup and for the ballpark factor.

Mon Nov 25 202414:35Phillies, White Sox Have Discussed Alec Bohm, Garrett Crochet
The Philadelphia Phillies have spoken about third baseman Alec Bohm and outfield prospect Justin Crawford in extensive trade talks with the Chicago White Sox for left-handed starter Garrett Crochet, but the White Sox are worried about Bohm's second-half struggles in 2024 (.681 OPS with only four homers). If Philly is able to unload Bohm, they are expected to go after free-agent third baseman Alex Bregman, who is considered a good fit. Another option would be to sign shortstop Willy Adames and move him to the hot corner. Adding Crochet to a starting rotation that already includes Zack Wheeler, Aaron Nola, Ranger Suarez and ... Thu Oct 10 202422:14Phillies Unlikely To Move Alec Bohm
The Athletic's Matt Gelb thinks it's unlikely that the Philadelphia Phillies look to move third baseman Alec Bohm this offseason, especially since he still has two years left of club control. Bohm had a career-high 117 OPS+ in 2024, but he struggled down the stretch and after suffering a hand injury. The Phillies also like Aidan Miller, a 20-year-old prospect who reached Double-A at the end of the year. If Miller continues to progress, the Phillies could be content to let Bohm walk after the 2026 campaign. Manager Rob Thomson benched Bohm in Game 2 of the National League Division Series because of disappointment about his attitude. "I mean, I definitely wasn't my best self," Bohm said. "And it doesn't feel good. But it is what it is. It's a hard game. You're not always going to be getting hits and doing all those things. There's other ways to help the team win, and it just didn't happen."

Tue Oct 8 202416:01Alec Bohm Back In The Lineup For Game 3
After sitting out of the Game 2 win over the division-rival New York Mets in the National League Division Series on Sunday, Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm is back at the hot corner for Game 3 on Tuesday at Citi Field and is hitting fifth against Mets left-hander Sean Manaea. Bohm did enter Game 2 late and was hitless in two plate appearances. The 28-year-old had a fine 2024 season for the Phillies, but he's slumping at the plate at the worst time and has just two hits in 33 at-bats in his last nine games. He'll be hoping to snap out of his funk against Manaea, who he has gone 2-for-10 against in his career with a home run, two RBI and three strikeouts. In 179 plate appearances against lefties in 2024, Bohm hit .287 with six of his 15 home runs. Just based on how Bohm has been swinging the lumber lately, fantasy managers setting DFS lineups will probably want to avoid him.

Sun Oct 6 202412:53Alec Bohm Riding Pine In Game 2
Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm is not in the starting nine of Game 2 of the NLDS. Instead, Edmundo Sosa will get the nod at the hot corner and bat in the eight-hole. Bohm went 0-for-4 in yesterday's match and will take a seat on Sunday afternoon. Sosa has carried a .214/.324/.393 line across his past 12 games. He will face New York right-hander Luis Severino, who was able to win his last start in the Wild Card Series against the Milwaukee Brewers by tossing six frames of three-run ball. Sosa remains a high-risk option in DFS this afternoon, given his inconsistencies this summer and lack of power.

Sat Sep 21 202409:34Alec Bohm Homers In Four-Hit Game
Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm went 4-for-5 with a home run, four RBI, and two runs scored in Friday's 12-2 win over the Mets. The 28-year-old missed a couple weeks with a hand injury and was 2-for-15 in the four games prior to Friday after being activated but certainly looked fully healed in the four-hit effort. Before going down with the injury, Bohm was having a great season, even leading the majors in doubles at the time and still only trails the new leader (Jarren Duran, 45) by just one despite missing time. The 2024 All-Star has a .290-15-94-62-5 line for the season with a .347 wOBA and 123 wRC+ and will look to help carry the Phils to a division crown as the season draws to a close.

Sun Sep 15 202412:04Alec Bohm Activated From Injured List, Starting On Sunday
Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm (hand) was activated off the 10-day injured list on Sunday morning and will bat in the five-hole as the Phillies look to clinch a series victory over the New York Mets. Bohm has been sidelined since the end of August with a hand injury but will return just in time to boost the Philly lineup down the stretch. Before the injury, the 28-year-old carried a strong .272/.292/.412 line with eight doubles, two home runs, 18 RBI, and one stolen base in his past 28 games. Under the hood, he boasts a stellar .298 xBA, which is one of the best marks in the sport, and an excellent 13.6% K rate. Bohm should be locked into all starting lineups down the stretch and is a viable DFS option this afternoon as he will face Mets southpaw David Peterson.

Sat Sep 14 202411:13Alec Bohm Starting Rehab Assignment On Saturday
Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm (hand) and infielder Edmundo Sosa (back) will begin their minor-league rehab assignments on Saturday with Triple-A Lehigh Valley. Bohm has been showing progress and could be activated from the 10-day injured list on Monday before they start a series against the Milwaukee Brewers, barring a setback down on the farm this weekend. A strained left hand has kept Bohm sidelined since late August, but he's apparently made good progress of late and should be back in the Phillies' lineup at some point next week. Although fantasy managers would like to see more power from the 28-year-old third baseman, they can't really complain about the way his 2024 campaign has gone. The first-time All-Star has slashed .290/.343/.462 with an .804 OPS, 13 homers, a league-leading 44 doubles, 89 RBI and five steals in 131 games. Bohm will be a must-start when he's back for the Phils.

Fri Sep 6 202416:04Alec Bohm Lands On 10-Day Injured List
The Philadelphia Phillies placed third baseman Alec Bohm (hand) on the 10-day injured list (retroactive to Sept. 3) with a left-hand strain on Friday and recalled infielder Buddy Kennedy from Triple-A Lehigh Valley in a corresponding move. Bohm injured his left hand on a swing late last week and hasn't played since, but the Phillies were initially hoping he'd avoid a stint on the IL and could return to action this weekend in Miami. The 28-year-old All-Star has missed the last six games and will now miss more time. He will be eligible to rejoin the Phillies on Sept. 13. With Bohm sidelined, expect some kind of platoon at third with Edmundo Sosa and Kody Clemens. The Phillies will surely miss Bohm's bat for however long he's out, as he has slashed .290/.343/.462 with an .804 OPS, 13 home runs, 89 RBI and five stolen bases in his 507 at-bats in 2024. Keep him stashed in an IL spot.

Thu Sep 5 202416:37Alec Bohm Still Sidelined
Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm (hand) remains sidelined for Thursday's series finale at LoanDepot Park against the division-rival Miami Marlins. With Bohm out yet again, Kody Clemens will make another start at the hot corner for the Phils and will bat eighth against Marlins right-hander Adam Oller. Bohm is missing his sixth straight game due to left-hand inflammation, but as long as he's able to return during the four-game series that stretches into the weekend in Miami, the Phillies expect the 28-year-old All-Star third baseman to avoid the injured list. Although Bohm's power (13 home runs) hasn't been very impressive, he leads the league with 44 doubles and has added 89 RBI with a .290/.343/.462 slash line with an .804 OPS. When Bohm returns to the lineup, he'll continue being a must-start for fantasy managers down the stretch in Philly's potent lineup.

Wed Sep 4 202412:28Alec Bohm Out Again On Wednesday
Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm (hand) remains out of the team's starting lineup for the series finale on Wednesday against the Toronto Blue Jays at Rogers Centre. Bohm will be missing his fifth straight contest due to a left-hand injury, but the Phillies don't expect him to need a stint on the injured list. Fantasy managers will want to check back to see if he's available to play in Thursday's series opener against the division-rival Marlins in Miami. With Bohm missing another contest, Kody Clemens is starting at third base and hitting ninth against Blue Jays right-hander Bowden Francis, who has been absolutely dominant his last two times out. Clemens has a .242/.275/.500 slash line on the year with only three home runs and 11 RBI in 66 at-bats and should be avoided in DFS lineups on Wednesday.

Tue Sep 3 202416:53Alec Bohm Still Not Playing On Tuesday
Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm (hand) remains out of action on Tuesday for the contest against the Toronto Blue Jays at Rogers Centre in Canada. With Bohm still out, Edmundo Sosa will play third base and bat eighth against Blue Jays right-hander Chris Bassitt. It's a bit concerning that Bohm missed three games during the weekend series against the division-rival Atlanta Braves and still isn't ready to go after a scheduled off day on Monday. The 28-year-old remains day-to-day. Check back to see if he's good enough to return on Wednesday. Sosa represents a low-upside DFS sleeper on Tuesday that should be avoided. In his last eight games (three starts), he has gone just 2-for-15 with a homer, a double, two RBI, one walk and four strikeouts. Whenever Bohm returns for the Phils, fantasy managers will want to get him back into their lineups immediately.UPDATE: Bohm's sore left hand is progressing slower than expected, and he is unlikely to play this week in Toronto, but manager Rob Thomson said it's not an injured-list situation. It means the Phils likely expect Bohm to return during an upcoming four-game series in Miami against the Marlins this weekend.

Fri Aug 30 202415:18Alec Bohm Not In Friday's Lineup
Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm (hand) is out of the team's starting lineup for Friday's contest at Citizens Bank Park against the division-rival Atlanta Braves. Edmundo Sosa will take over third-base duties while batting eighth, while right fielder Nick Castellanos will take over cleanup duties for the Phillies against Braves right-hander Reynaldo Lopez. Bohm injured his left hand during a swing in the first inning of Thursday's series opener against Atlanta and was removed from the game, but X-rays on the 28-year-old All-Star's hand came back negative. Consider him day-to-day for now and check to see if he'll be able to return for Saturday's game. Not only has Castellanos been swinging some hot lumber of late, but he's hitting .324 with an .828 OPS and three RBI in a big sample size of 37 career at-bats against Lopez. He'll surely be a popular DFS play on Friday, especially in the four-hole for Philly.

Thu Aug 29 202420:14Alec Bohm Leaves Game After Hand Injury; X-Rays Come Back Negative
Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm (hand) was pulled from Thursday's game early against the division-rival Atlanta Braves after injuring his left hand, but X-rays came back negative, according to the team. Bohm injured his hand on his only at-bat of the game and was replaced at third base by Edmundo Sosa. The Phillies could opt to send Bohm for more testing, but for now, it looks like he's avoided a serious injury and should be considered day-to-day heading into the second game of the series at Citizens Bank Park on Friday. Losing Bohm for an extended period of time would be really bad news for the Phils and fantasy managers. The former third overall pick in 2018 out of Wichita State was an All-Star for the first time in 2024, and although his 13 homers aren't all that impressive, he has a career-best .290 average, 89 RBI and leads the league with 44 doubles in 131 games.

Fri Aug 16 202408:52Alec Bohm Goes Deep On Thursday
Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm went 1-for-4 with a three-run shot in Thursday's victory. Bohm hit the long ball in the opening frame which scored Bryce Harper and Trea Turner. Since the start of August, the third baseman has held a strong .309/.333/.509 line with two home runs, 11 RBI, and five doubles. Overall, the 28-year-old has taken another step forward this season as he currently boasts a .297/.351/.483 slash line with 13 home runs and five stolen bases. Under the hood, he holds an excellent 13.9% K rate, which gives him a slight boost in points leagues. Bohm should remain in all lineups going forward and will continue to provide solid counting stats batting near the top of the Philly lineup.

Sat Aug 10 202409:51Alec Bohm Doubles Again, Extends Hit Streak To 11 Games
Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm went 2-for-4 with his major league-leading 42nd double of the season in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Diamondbacks. The next closest (Jarren Duran) has 36 doubles, so Bohm has a comfortable lead. The hits also extended the 2024 All-Star's current hit streak to 11 games, going 16-for-50 (.320) over that stretch, including six doubles, a triple, a home run, seven RBI, seven runs scored, and a stolen base. The 28-year-old is now slashing .298/.352/.483 with a .357 wOBA and 130 wRC+, cementing himself as one of the top options for fantasy at the hot corner.

Sun Jul 28 202412:06Alec Bohm Back In Action For Phillies
Philadelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm (ankle) is starting at third base and is hitting cleanup on Sunday against the visiting Cleveland Guardians and rookie left-hander Joey Cantillo, who will be making his major-league debut. Bohm is back in action on Sunday after being pulled in the seventh inning of the 8-0 win over Cleveland with a left-ankle contusion. The injury obviously wasn't too serious, as the 27-year-old right-handed slugger is back in the lineup a day later. Bohm is currently sporting a career-high .297 average (116-for-391) with 11 home runs, a league-leading 36 doubles, a triple, 71 RBI and 45 runs scored in 102 games in his first All-Star campaign in his fifth year in the big leagues. Fantasy managers will want to get him back in all starting lineups against a young pitcher making his first start in the Show.
