Fri Apr 1818:22Jazz Chisholm Jr. Suspended For One Game, Will Appeal And Is Playing Friday
New York Yankees third baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. was suspended by the league for one game on Friday for his outburst after being rang up on a called third strike. Chisholm is appealing the suspension and will be batting fifth in the Yankees' lineup. The 27-year-old is providing decent value at the plate this season, hitting for a 105 OPS+. Though a decent number, it's lower than the 130 OPS+ he posted last season and part of that issue is his K%, which has risen above 30% in 2025. Fantasy managers shouldn't worry too much, though, as long as he continues to deliver with the long ball as his six HR rank second on the Yankees behind only Aaron Judge. If he does indeed have to serve his suspension, it shouldn't have any effect on his production as it will essentially be viewed as a day off.

Fri Apr 405:50Jazz Chisholm Jr. Homers On Thursday
New York Yankees second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer, a steal, and a walk in a 9-7 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Thursday. Chisholm's two-run shot came off Arizona starter Merrill Kelly in the fourth inning to give the Yankees their eighth and ninth runs of the game. The veteran infielder is off to a red-hot start this season, hitting .292 with four homers, six runs, eight RBI, and one steal over 24 at-bats. Chisholm has shown an uptick in power since joining the Yankees as he hit 11 homers in 46 games after being acquired from the Miami Marlins during the 2024 season. He should remain locked into fantasy lineups moving forward.

Sun Mar 3021:21Jazz Chisholm Blasts Two More Homers
New York Yankees second baseman Jazz Chisholm had a huge day at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two home runs and five RBI in Sunday's 12-3 victory over the Brewers. This brings his home run total to three for the season, and he seems to be picking up right where he left off from 2024. He tallied 11 homers and 18 steals in 46 games after joining New York last season and is a legitimate 40-40 threat if he can stay healthy all year. He'll need a couple more games played before gaining second base eligibility for fantasy, but he has a good chance to dethrone Ketel Marte for the top spot at the position once he does.

Sun Mar 3006:28Jazz Chisholm Jr. Goes Deep On Saturday
New York Yankees second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. went 2-for-5 with two runs and an RBI during their demanding 20-9 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers on Saturday afternoon. In the second inning, Chisholm hit a line drive single to left field. He would eventually score on an Anthony Volpe home run. Later in the third, Chisholm would go deep for his first time this season. After not tallying a hit in the season opening on Thursday, the 27-year-old enjoyed a nice bounce-back showing in the second game of the season. After being traded to the Yankees last season, Chisholm saw his offensive production soar as he posted a .273/.325/.500 slash line with 11 home runs and 18 stolen bases. He remains a must-start option batting in the heart of a potent Yankee lineup. He will look to stay hot on Sunday facing Milwaukee right-hander Aaron Civale.

Tue Jan 2821:32Jazz Chisholm Jr. Expected To Play Second Base In 2025
New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone said on WFAN 660 on Tuesday that infielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. is expected to start at second base in 2025, with DJ LeMahieu, Oswaldo Cabrera and Oswald Peraza competing at third base "right now." In addition to likely being the starting second baseman for the Bombers this season, Boone also mentioned Chisholm, along with young outfielder Jasson Dominguez, as an option to hit leadoff. The 26-year-old played third for the Yanks in the second half last year after they acquired him from the Miami Marlins, but he'll now be shifting to the keystone with Gleyber Torres leaving in free agency. Not only did Chisholm stay healthy and play in a season-high 147 games in 2024, but he enjoyed the Bronx, slashing .273/.325/.500 with an .825 OPS, 11 homers and 18 steals in 46 regular-season games. Injury risk is still there, but with second base eligibility coming, Chisholm's fantasy arrow is pointing directly up.

Thu Jan 919:39Jazz Chisholm Jr., Yankees Avoid Arbitration
According to Mark Feinsand of MLB.com, the New York Yankees and infielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. have agreed to a one-year contract worth $5.85 million to avoid arbitration. The 26-year-old began the 2024 season with the Miami Marlins but was eventually traded to the New York Yankees during the stretch run. Across 147 games last summer, Chisholm held a .256/.324/.436 line with 24 home runs and 40 stolen bases. However, in 46 games with the Yankees, Chisholm performed very well as he held a .273/.325/.500 line with 11 home runs. The 26-year-old was deployed primarily at the hot corner during his short tenure with the Yankees last season but could move to the keystone as the Yankees are actively trying to add another infielder to their roster. Chisholm carries an elite combination of power and speed and should be viewed as a high-end third baseman in standard category leagues.

Tue Nov 5 202420:12Jazz Chisholm Jr. Could Be Moved Back To Second Base
New York Yankees general manager Brian Cashman mentioned prospect Caleb Durbin and the possibility that the team will add a third baseman and move infielder/outfielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. back to second base next season. Current second baseman Gleyber Torres is a free agent this winter, and although the Yankees aren't opposed to bringing him back, he could very well leave the Bronx, opening up a glaring hole at the keystone. After being acquired from the Miami Marlins at the trade deadline at the end of July, Chisholm hit .273 (48-for-176) with 11 home runs, 23 RBI and 18 stolen bases for the Bombers while playing a solid third base defensively. The 26-year-old power/speed threat already has eligibility at outfield and third base, so adding second base eligibility in 2025 would be even nicer for fantasy managers.

Thu Oct 31 202408:55Jazz Chisholm Jr. Launches Second Postseason Home Run
New York Yankees third baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in their Game 5 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Chisholm hit his second home run of October in the opening frame directly after Aaron Judge hit a two-run shot which gave the Yankees an early three-run lead. However, the Bronx Bombers were unable to hold their lead as the Dodgers eventually tied the game in the fifth and took the lead in the eighth. Chisholm's other postseason long ball came in Game 2 of the ALDS against the Kansas City Royals. The former Miami Marlin joined the Yankees at the trade deadline and finished his postseason run with a disappointing .182/.250/.309 slash line.

Sat Oct 26 202401:43Jazz Chisholm Jr. Causes Havoc On Basepaths
New York Yankees third baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. made his presence known in Game 1 of the World Series on Friday, swiping three bags and scoring an important run late in the game. Jazz stole third base in the top of the 10th and scored on a fielder's choice right after, giving the Yanks a 3-2 lead. Unfortunately for them, Freddie Freeman had other ideas about how the game would end. As for Chisholm, he has been a bit of a letdown this postseason, hitting .179 with a .520 OPS. A good World Series would make his shaky playoffs a moot point, though, and he is off to a good start in Game 1.

Thu Sep 12 202410:56Jazz Chisholm Jr. With A Walk-Off Single On Wednesday
New York Yankees third baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. went 1-for-4 at the plate in Wednesday's 4-3 extra-innings win over the Royals. The lone hit came in the bottom of the 11th inning when the left-handed hitter shot a ball to the left side of the infield, but with speedy Jon Berti running from third, Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. rushed his throw and the inaccurate attempt at home allowed Berti to score, resulting in a wild walk-off win for the Yankees. The 26-year-old has hit well overall between Miami and New York, but is just 4-for-27 (.148) over his last seven games and his last home run came back on August 28. Perhaps the electricity from the walk-off win will ignite a hot streak for the multi-category contributor, who has authored a .261-22-66-69-35 line on the season with a .332 wOBA and 112 wRC+.

Fri Aug 23 202412:02Yankees Reinstate Jazz Chisholm Jr. From The Injured List
The New York Yankees officially reinstated infielder/outfielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. (elbow) from the 10-day injured list prior to Friday's series opener against the Colorado Rockies at Yankee Stadium. In a corresponding move, the Yankees optioned infielder Oswald Peraza to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Thursday. Chisholm has avoided season-ending surgery on the UCL in his left elbow and should return to the Yankees' starting lineup immediately on Friday at third base against Rockies left-hander Kyle Freeland. It's a welcomed development for the Yankees and fantasy managers alike, as the 26-year-old has appeared very comfortable in pinstripes so far, going 18-for-57 (.316) with seven homers, 11 RBI and five steals in 14 games since being acquired in a trade with the Miami Marlins. Get him back into your fantasy lineups on Friday if he's indeed back in New York's lineup.

Thu Aug 22 202418:02Jazz Chisholm Jr. Could Be Activated On Friday
The New York Yankees optioned infielder Oswald Peraza to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Thursday, which points to the Yankees activating infielder/outfielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. (elbow) on Friday. Manager Aaron Boone said earlier in the day that Chisholm is "real close to a return" from the 10-day injured list after he took batting practice at Yankee Stadium before Wednesday's contest. The 26-year-old is recovering from a UCL injury to his left (non-throwing) elbow, but what initially looked like a potential season-ender, turned out to be much less serious. It's great news for the Yankees and Chisholm's fantasy managers, as his production has been fantastic since being acquired in a trade with the Miami Marlins at the trade deadline. Chisholm has hit .316 (18-for-57) with seven homers, 11 RBI and five steals in his first 14 games in the Bronx and should return to starting duties at third base.UPDATE: The Yankees' plan is to activate Chisholm from the IL for the series opener on Friday against the Colorado Rockies.

Thu Aug 22 202412:02Jazz Chisholm Jr. "Real Close To A Return"
New York Yankees infielder/outfielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. (elbow) is "real close to a return" from the 10-day injured list, according to manager Aaron Boone. Initially, the Yankees were unsure if Chisholm would even be able to return this year due to a UCL injury in his left elbow that potentially needed surgery. However, Chisholm has bounced back nicely since then and even took batting practice at Yankee Stadium before Wednesday's game against the Cleveland Guardians. The 26-year-old is eligible to come off the IL on Saturday. Even if he doesn't come back on the first day he's eligible, fantasy managers have to be stoked that he should return soon. Chisholm should return to regular duties at third in the Bronx after hitting .316 (18-for-57) with seven homers, 11 RBI and five steals in his first 14 games with the team.

Wed Aug 21 202417:32Jazz Chisholm Jr. Taking Batting Practice
New York Yankees infielder/outfielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. (elbow) was seen at Yankee Stadium on Wednesday before the team's game against the Cleveland Guardians taking batting practice. Chisholm is attempting to recover from a UCL injury to his left elbow that put him on the 10-day injured list last week, and his activity on Wednesday represents some major progress. Initially, it was unclear if the 26-year-old would need season-ending surgery on his elbow. Although he probably won't be ready to return from the IL when he's eligible this Saturday, Chisholm should be able to avoid surgery and return to the Yankees as their regular third baseman to close out the 2024 regular season. Already a must-start fantasy player because of his power/speed combination, Chisholm's fantasy stock went up when he was acquired by the Yankees at the trade deadline, and he hit .316 (18-for-57) with seven homers, 11 RBI and five steals in his first 14 games with the Bombers.

Sat Aug 17 202419:13Jazz Chisholm Jr. Hopeful To Swing A Bat Soon
New York Yankees outfielder/infielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. (elbow) expressed on Friday, August 16 that he expects to swing a bat in a "day or two." The 26-year-old further noted that he has not experienced any pain since suffering a sprained UCL. Chisholm hit the 10-day IL last week and could return much sooner than expected, given his current progression. Fantasy managers should continue to pay close attention to how Chisholm feels after swinging a bat, as he could return to game action before the end of the month. Prior to the injury, the 26-year-old was riding a six-game hitting streak with a .391/.417/.826 line and three long balls. While sidelined, Oswaldo Cabrera, DJ LeMahieu, and Oswald Peraza should continue to split time at the hot corner in the Bronx.

Fri Aug 16 202412:07Jazz Chisholm Jr. To Avoid Surgery For Now
Rest and rehab has been recommended for New York Yankees infielder/outfielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. (elbow) instead of surgery after he sought multiple opinions from doctors on his UCL injury. The Yankees are holding out hope that Chisholm can play again this season, likely in September or for a postseason run. Chisholm was put on the 10-day injured list on Wednesday with a left (non-throwing) elbow sprain that he suffered diving into home plate on Monday against the White Sox. "I can tell you Jazz is pretty encouraged by how he's feeling," manager Aaron Boone said. "So hopefully that's a good sign." It's unknown when the 26-year-old will be able to resume swinging. For the time being, Oswaldo Cabrera is expected to see most of the playing time at third base in the Bronx, with DJ LeMahieu also being an option. Chisholm hit seven homers in his first 14 games after joining the team.

Wed Aug 14 202419:14Jazz Chisholm Jr. Officially Lands On 10-Day Injured List
The New York Yankees placed infielder/outfielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. (elbow) on the 10-day injured list (retroactive to Aug. 13) with a left-elbow sprain on Wednesday and recalled infielder Oswald Peraza from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in a corresponding move. Chisholm suffered a UCL sprain in his left elbow on Monday night and will now miss at least the next 10 days. However, if the 26-year-old needs surgery, he will end up missing the rest of the 2024 season. The Yankees acquired him from the Miami Marlins at the trade deadline at the end of July, and Chisholm had gone 18-for-57 (.316) with seven homers, 11 RBI and five steals in his 14 games in the Bronx as the primary third baseman. The Yankees will now likely turn to some combination of Oswald Cabrera and DJ LeMahieu at the hot corner, with Peraza serving as a bench bat.

Tue Aug 13 202418:34Jazz Chisholm Jr. Likely Headed To Injured List
New York Yankees infielder/outfielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. (elbow) is expected to be placed on the injured list, according to manager Aaron Boone. This is not the news fantasy managers wanted to hear right now. Chisholm was off to an excellent start with the Bronx Bombers. He was hitting over .300 with seven home runs and five steals in 14 games. The 26-year-old suffered a left UCL injury while sliding into home plate during Monday's loss. It sounds like the team still plans to do additional testing to determine the severity of the injury. The absence of Chisholm should mean more playing time for DJ LeMahieu and Oswaldo Cabrera at the hot corner. Neither player is going to be as reliable of a fantasy contributor. Cabrera is the better option between the two, as he's hitting .245 with eight home runs and 34 RBI in 86 games this season. Cabrera will bat eighth and play third base versus right-hander Jonathan Cannon on Tuesday.

Mon Aug 12 202422:50Jazz Chisholm Jr. Injured On Monday
New York Yankees third baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. (arm, shoulder) was replaced by Ben Rice as a pinch-hitter in the seventh inning of Monday's series opener against the hosting Chicago White Sox. Television replays showed Chisholm moving his left arm/shoulder in the dugout after scoring a run in the fifth inning. Before being pulled, Chisholm went 2-for-3 with a run scored and his 27th stolen base of the year. The severity of the 26-year-old's injury is unclear, so fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day before checking back on his status on Tuesday. In 14 games in New York since being acquired by the Miami Marlins at the trade deadline, Chisholm has gone 18-for-57 with seven home runs, 11 RBI, five steals and 13 runs scored and has seen his fantasy stock rise considerably in a much more potent lineup. An extended absence for Chisholm would allow DJ LeMahieu to move back to third on a full-time basis.UPDATE: Chisholm left with a left-elbow injury after his slide into home plate. Manager Aaron Boone said X-rays on Chisholm's left elbow came back negative and that he's in good spirits.

In Game 1, the 26-year-old went 2-for-4 with a walk and a home run; in Game 2, he went 2-for-4 again with a home run. The left-handed hitter collected two RBI, scored three times, and stole a base over the two-game set. Since coming over from the Marlins, the former All-Star has a .300-7-11-12-3 line in 12 games. He now sports a .255-20-61-58-25 line on the year with a .331 wOBA and 113 wRC+.
