Mon Mar 307:15Thomas Pannone Exits With Forearm Injury
Milwaukee Brewers right-handed pitcher Thomas Pannone (forearm) exited Sunday's spring training contest early with a forearm injury. He is set to undergo further evaluation. Earlier in the offseason, Pannone inked a minor-league deal with Milwaukee in hopes of competing for a job on the 40-man roster. The 30-year-old last appeared in the majors during the 2023 with the Brewers but logged only two 2/3 innings. He spent the first two seasons of his MLB career with the Toronto Blue Jays. He spent the 2024 campaign pitching entirely at Triple-A for the Iowa Cubs and the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders. Across 152 1/3 total frames, the right-hander posted a 3.54 ERA with a 1.29 WHIP. When he is cleared for action, Pannone will compete for a depth role on the pitching staff.

Sat Dec 17 202213:43Brewers Sign Thomas Pannone To Minor-League Deal
The Milwaukee Brewers signed left-hander Thomas Pannone to a minor-league deal on Friday that includes an invite to major-league spring training. Pannone last pitched in Korea and posted a 2.72 ERA in 14 starts for the Kia Tigers in 2022. In two major-league seasons with the Toronto Blue Jays in 2018 and 2019, Pannone had a 5.43 ERA (5.14 FIP), a 1.34 WHIP, 98 strikeouts and 46 walks in 116 innings pitched over 49 appearances (13 starts). He's also had a bloated 5.61 ERA in four years at the Triple-A level, so it's an understatement to say that he has yet to pitch well in the big leagues. The 28-year-old southpaw will serve as pitching depth for the Brew Crew in 2023 and will likely start in the minor leagues.
